Rare Birmingham Tour Opportunity

Lunch-and-learns come and go, but every once in a while something comes along that only happens once in anyone’s career.  This is one of those opportunities:  A chance to tour the historic Swann House on Red Mountain.

Alabama Heritage magazine offered this description in its Summer 2007 issue:  ”Perched on the summit of Red Mountain, the Swann-Coleman house is a surprising example of Old World craftsmanship in the New South. Once known as the grandest residence in Birmingham, the house…is now nearing completion on an exterior restoration begun in 2005.”

Demonstrations of classic building and restoration trades will be followed by a lecture.
